Review: P2 Perfect Face BB creme

Because I was so happy with my Catrice BB creme ( read here ) I thought I’d give another drugstore BB creme a try (usually I use my Shiseido one or Dior right now). I bought the P2 Perfect Face Beauty Balm for 5 € for 30 ml! There are 2 shades, light and dark, I bought 010 light.
I have to say that the tube is really small in my opinion. And that is strange because the Catrice BB creme is 30 ml, TOO, but it appears to be more because of the long tube and here it’s such a stub…whatever (it will probably be more difficult once the BB creme is almost empty to get the rest out).
This BB creme has SPF 15, not too high but very common for BB cremes. I never believe advertising like “24h moisturizing”, that’s just impossible. More important for me is whether the coverage is ok and whether it’s good for my skin.
Here’s a swatch with flash:
It’s kinda very dark for a 010 Light. And orangey. I was able to blend it in but still i am kinda appalled that they couldn’t just create a truly light shade! That can’t be so hard! Ok here’s the most important, the wearing pic:
I look strange on those pics…maybe because of the flash? Anyways, the finish and coverage remind me very much of the Catrice BB creme (both pretty good), it looks ok blended in and not too dark in my opinion. The downside is that it seems to be of a thicker consistency than the Catrice one and so wearability is not that great, I feel a little bit caked on though I only have the BB creme on! It’s ok for the price but I’d still go with Catrice here than p2.

Catrice BB Allround Foundation

Again my beloved drugstore make up. The Catrice BB creme has been around since last year, it costs 5 € and is advertised with a 6 in 1 effect: balancing- correcting; protecting- illuminating; covering- moisturizing;
I’ll tell you right away that I don’t find it illuminating or balancing or protecting and correcting and covering is the same to me. So about 2 effects + SPF 30. I got the 010 Light beige of course, as there are only 2 shades, one light and one more on the medium side.
The consistency is a typical foundation fluid, maybe not as runny as others, pretty easy to apply BUT for me a bit hard to find the right dosage because you actually don’t need that much for it to have good coverage.
Blending is pretty easy and it fits my skin color perfectly (for reference I am a MAC NW15). The undertones are pretty neutral to rosy!
Here the ultimate comparison (and first time showing my face without make up, though it’s not that special):

You can see clearly how it improves all imperfections on my skin leaving a very slightglowy finish (it’s still pretty matte though so no reason to call it illuminating). Now the make up is pretty long lasting, it doesn’t just disappear after a couple of hours. It feels a little bit heavier than other Catrice Foundations in my opinion but it’s still a good feeling. This is one of the few foundations that doesn’t look horrible in the evening after long hours of wear! Currently it’s a real tough competition for my Diorskin Nude BB creme, the Catrice BB creme actually has more coverage while the Dior one feels better on my skin and is not as thick…. Last a pic of me wearing the Catrice BB creme and Powder (Clinique almost make up) and full make up:

Make up Look of the day

Well technically it’s already evening here, hence the not so good lighting. I did it to try out some new products I got! I wanted to go for a really light and soft look so i didn’t use any eyeliner (which is normally part of my routine), here goes:
Because of the lighting the blush is not as visible but it’s actually a very nice shade, not intense or anything (I was lucky to find a super cheap blush that I actually liked after the MAC-fiasco). Here is what I used:
1. First I applied the Catrice BB Allround Foundation  in 010 Light Beige

2. Afterwards I used my brand new Clinique Almost Powder Makeup in 02 Neutral fair.  I was actually worried that the shade would be too dark because of many reviews stating the shades usually are to dark for most but it fit me perfectly. Another good point about this powder is that it has SPF 15, which I don’t need but nevertheless is good to know. I used the cheap Essence Powder Brush (the purple one) to apply it!

3. After that I applied my new Catrice Multi Colour Blush in 070 Iced Caramel Macchiato (I just love this name!!) which is a great shade and a breeze to apply! I used the pink Essence Blush Brush!

4. Then I coated my eyelashes with one layer of Essence I love Extreme Volume Mascara (omg just one layer was enough for me??).

5. I used the I love strawberries & milkshake lip balm as a lip base (I hate the smell, it smells nothing like their lotions and shower gels!! nothing like strawberry, but fortunately the horrid smell fades after 2 minutes and the glossiness and moisture make up for it).

6. And last I used my new Isadora Twist up Gloss Stick in 03 Sugar Crush (which is essentially the same as the Clinique chubby sticks, Isadora has less shades but they are cheaper, 12 €, and just as moisturizing, might do a comparison).

That’s all!

Small DM haul…AGAIN

Ok I know I just posted the Douglas haul but I couldn’t resist to buy some small stuff in DM that I’ve been looking at for weeks.
I bought:
Balea Sweet Wonderland Lip Balm, was about 1 €, smells chocolaty but nothing special.
The Catrice Candy Shock Lip Balm Stick in Sugar Shock, about 2 €, I’ve seen previews for the new Catrice LE and this was the only product that caught my interest:
I like how the colored part is surrounded by this balm. But the actual color seems to be almost nude like on me…
The Maxfactor Lip Stick in 745 Burnt Caramel, tried it out and fell in love! Exactly my color. Will definitely review!
Treaclemoon’s My coconut Island has been around for some time in DM, it was about 5 € I think for 500 ml, I bought it because of the very very sweet coconut smell. It’s even a mix with cotton candy to me, better than most coconut scents!
The Balea Bodycream Zuckerschnute wasn’t a must buy, was about 3 €, it smells like meringues and I liked the other products from this line (waiting for my body lotion and the lip balm from this line, I bought them on ebay)!
And last is the Got 2b Öl-la-la Oil styling spray. It’s with real argan oil essence! Got it for controlling my frizzy hair!
