Too faced haul (again)

I won't even mention how long I haven't updated this thing here....
Anyways! As it is probably clear I am a huge Too Faced-Makeup fanatic and try to buy all of their great products. Even though I can get most of it through beautybay I still have to order through Sephora most of the time, because they have the newest products that I am looking for. For the next products I had to spend over 100€ (well I ordered a third product not pictured but still..) because of taxes and I am not happy about that, the actual product prices will be listed later!

This is what I got:
The Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Nude (38€) and the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in Love Hangover (25€)!
I was super hyped for both products. Especially for the blush because it is supposed to stay on for 16 hours!

So here is the foundation (unedited pictures):

It says Oil-Free and you get 30 ml for that price in a pump dispenser kind of package. The packaging looks and feels high quality but I am not a fan of the pump dispenser thing, you can see how messy it gets right here:

It's so hard to get the product out without it getting messy, but I suppose it's still better than the missha oriental bb cream dispenser... The nude color is more or less neutral, with some yellow undertones (EVEN THOUGH the label stated it had neutral to pink undertones) which I believe I actually don't have, but the foundation is like magic on skin and adapts very well. I really feel the message "Born This Way" because the foundation is so lightweight that you could almost fool yourself you didn't wear any. It has a great feel on the skin and just glides on, especially with the beauty blender! It stays on all day and doesn't get patchy or dry. Also: The coverage is build-able, so you can wear more coats of it for better coverage even though I think one is already pretty good for coverage. This will probably be my holy grail of all foundations and I usually use it for special occasions, only because it's so expensive (otherwise I'd wear it daily).

Now for the second item:

The Love Flush Blush in Love Hangover has such a cute packaging, as always with Too Faced. The bunnies are adorable such as the whole heart shape of the blush, also the mirror is really practical (will use it as a mirror compact once I use it all up). It is a very warm pink, it's a bit mauvy in my opinion as it has some dark undertones without being cool like mauve. I find the application of this blush ok, nowhere near as easy and perfect as Milani's luminoso, but the color suits me quite well and I usually tone it down with a highlighter (Mac's soft & gentle). That way it looks even better. But I have to say it doesn't stay on for 16 hours, at least not on my face. I have to re-apply quite often unfortunately!

I am very content with both products, especially the foundation which exceeded my expectations (initially I was having higher expectations for the blush...). Even if the blush is not my favourite I still like it! I am never disappointed when buying Too Faced products so it will stay my favourite brand!

Sleek & Barry M Haul

I already reviewed the Sleek Make Up Blush here! But I also bought other Sleek and Barry M products on shades of pink online!

I have a Sleek New Skin Revive Tester Kit in light shades, 4 €

The Sleek Make Up Blush in Rose Gold, 5 €

Sleek Dip EyeLiner in Pink, 5 €

I haven’t tried everything but I can already say that the mascara is good for nothing, you can’t even see the purple color! I made pictures but it looked black. Very dissapointed about that. 

The tester kit for the Sleek Foundation revealed the following:

So there are altogether 5 light shades: Linen, Oyster, Oatmeal, White Rose and Shell! I already new that Linen would be too light but I wasn’t sure whether Oatmeal or Oyster suited my skin better, so I got the tester kit! The great thing is that the small tubes can be reused, very cute idea. So you don’t have to use everything all up once you opened the tube!

Linen is pale white with a very slight yellow undertone, Oyster is more pink than I expected and Oatmeal pretty much neutral in it’s undertones and therefor fits my skin best. White Rose is too rosy of course and Shell has too many yellow undertones! I have to say I tried all of them on my face and they all have the ability to blend in with my skin tone BUT Linen has a horrible texture in comparison to the other ones. I’m still not sure whether to get the foundation at all because I already have so many and this one is not particularly good at covering….(currently using Diorskin Nude and Shiseido Maquillage!).

Review: Dior Diorskin Nude BB Creme

I planned this post a while ago but wanted to test the product a little bit longer! This is myDiorskin Nude BB creme in 001 light which I bought for about 40 € in Douglas (30 ml). I knew that Dior already had another BB crème, the Hydra Life BB creme, but I wasn’t interested back then. This one though caught my interest through reviews and swatches because I am looking for slightly pink undertones and a very light shade!

The packaging is not as high quality as it could be, but at least they made it with a pump-mechanism for easy portioning. On the other hand I’m afraid that there will be lots of product left in the tube that I will only get out by cutting the tube open…It has SPF 10 but I’m not interested in SPF haha Anyways, here’s a swatch:

I love that it’s so so light and really has pink undertones, the smell is very faint, which is good because it is so neutral, only slightly perfumed! It blends freakishly easy, almost melts into my skin! By now I was already convinced but what I liked more was the effect on my face!

There is not that much to cover these days, aside from my dark eye-circles and evening out the complexion generally. My face looks kinda photoshopped afterwards because it is just so soft without giving a make-upy look! Most people complain about the low coverage of the Diroskin Nude BB creme but I think it is just right, if it was more covering it would not have this light texture that makes your skin feel like you’re not wearing foundation at all! The shade fits my skin perfectly, I don't have to blend anything on my neck. It stays on me for the whole day without turning greasy (no idea how that is possible!). I love it. If it wasn’t for the price this would be my HG foundation, but I might just ditch all other foundations and only buy this every 3 months… (That’s because you don’t need a lot of product, a huge plus with such an expensive one!). So yeah, will buy again!

Review: P2 Perfect Face BB creme

Because I was so happy with my Catrice BB creme ( read here ) I thought I’d give another drugstore BB creme a try (usually I use my Shiseido one or Dior right now). I bought the P2 Perfect Face Beauty Balm for 5 € for 30 ml! There are 2 shades, light and dark, I bought 010 light.

I have to say that the tube is really small in my opinion. And that is strange because the Catrice BB creme is 30 ml, TOO, but it appears to be more because of the long tube and here it’s such a stub…whatever (it will probably be more difficult once the BB creme is almost empty to get the rest out). 

This BB creme has SPF 15, not too high but very common for BB cremes. I never believe advertising like “24h moisturizing”, that’s just impossible. More important for me is whether the coverage is ok and whether it’s good for my skin.

It’s kinda very dark for a 010 Light. And orangey. I was able to blend it in but still i am kinda appalled that they couldn’t just create a truly light shade! That can’t be so hard! Ok here’s the most important, the wearing pic:

I look strange on those pics…maybe because of the flash? Anyways, the finish and coverage remind me very much of the Catrice BB creme (both pretty good), it looks ok blended in and not too dark in my opinion. The downside is that it seems to be of a thicker consistency than the Catrice one and so wearability is not that great, I feel a little bit caked on though I only have the BB creme on! It’s ok for the price but I’d still go with Catrice here than p2.

Catrice BB Allround Foundation

Again my beloved drugstore make up. The Catrice BB creme has been around since last year, it costs 5 € and is advertised with a 6 in 1 effect: balancing- correcting; protecting- illuminating; covering- moisturizing;

I’ll tell you right away that I don’t find it illuminating or balancing or protecting and correcting and covering is the same to me. So about 2 effects + SPF 30. I got the 010 Light beige of course, as there are only 2 shades, one light and one more on the medium side.

The consistency is a typical foundation fluid, maybe not as runny as others, pretty easy to apply BUT for me a bit hard to find the right dosage because you actually don’t need that much for it to have good coverage.

Blending is pretty easy and it fits my skin color perfectly (for reference I am a MAC NW15). The undertones are pretty neutral to rosy!

Here the ultimate comparison (and first time showing my face without make up, though it’s not that special):

You can see clearly how it improves all imperfections on my skin leaving a very slightglowy finish (it’s still pretty matte though so no reason to call it illuminating). Now the make up is pretty long lasting, it doesn’t just disappear after a couple of hours. It feels a little bit heavier than other Catrice Foundations in my opinion but it’s still a good feeling. This is one of the few foundations that doesn’t look horrible in the evening after long hours of wear! Currently it’s a real tough competition for my Diorskin Nude BB creme, the Catrice BB creme actually has more coverage while the Dior one feels better on my skin and is not as thick…. Review: Maybelline Dream Fresh 8-IN-1 BB Cream

I finally bought the Maybelline BB creme!! I already wanted to try out the Loreal BB creme but the texture is just so strange and runny I didn’t like it. I was pleasantly surprised that they finally brought BB cremes into usual stores to germany! No more purchasing them from asia over ebay with high shipping?? The Maybelline BB creme was 9 € which I found to be reasonable enough because their foundations are at the same price level.

What I was amazed about is that there is only one shade that is supposed to be universally applicable and it is Apricot. Asian BB cremes usually have 2 shades and those are more beige.

 It looked super dark and orange-yellowish on my hand! How the hell is that supposed to blend into my shade? Well I tried it out…

It actually blends in pretty good, what a surprise. But applied on the face it is way too oily, not mattifying at all and STILL orangy. So I didn't wear it at all practically. As for coverage it is ok, about medium, SPF 30 sounds a bit high but whatever.

Pretty useless in my opinion.

Will not buy again, I'll stick to Asian BB cremes AND the new Catrice BB creme.
