Lush Haul and Review

Some time ago I ordered stuff on Lush and finally tried all the products!

The products are as follows:

Fresh Farmacy Soap, 100g for 7,95 €. It’s against pimples and other irritations of the skin. I don’t like the smell, it is very “farmacy” like, somehow musky and bitter. Didn’t feel any great difference when using this yet, but i used it quite irregularly and only a few times. I’ll give it another try!

The Honey I washed the kids Soap was 5,65 € for 100g, it smells nice, a sweet caramel scent and slight honey scent, but I don’t use it often. Probably won’t buy again because I don’t really need that.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel was about 10 € for 250 g! It is heaven on earth, real christmasy and smells like minty sugary candy canes! The shower gel even glitters…I regret only buying one, I love this so much…

The Comforter Bubble Bath was 7,25 € for one piece, there’s only half of it left on my pic. You just crumble some of it into the running water and it creates foam that smells like berries and vanilla! Loved it, especially that one piece can be used for 4 baths! 

The Guv’ner Deodorant Powder was 10,25 € for 80 g. Way too expensive in my opinion. You have to brush some of the powder onto your armpits for it to work as deodorant. The smell is disgusting, charcoal and some artificial scents. Anyway, I didn’t see any results despite trying it out for days, will not buy again!

American Cream Conditioner runs at 7,50 € for 100 ml. Pretty expensive again. It’s supposed to smell like honey and strawberry milk shake but I don’t get any of that, just some creamy stuff. The effect is very very little, only when I used a humongous amount did I see a softening of my hair and got a whiff of the conditioners supposedly great smell, but by then my hair was already way to greasy because of the amount. Will not buy again.

And last but not least The Popcorn Lip Scrub for 9 € for 25 g. I LOVE IT. I put it on my lips to get the peeling effect und just scrub around and then lick the sugary, slightly salty tasting, popcorn scrub away. It tastes so so good, it actually shouldn’t taste that good haha I will definitely buy it again because it lasts a long time so I can justify paying that much. AND I want to buy the bubble gum lip scrub!

That was all, bought some unnecessary products along the way, but Lush for me is a kind of treat so it’s ok. 

Cute find in Nanu Nana, a Latte Macchiato Candle with whipped cream! It even smells like latte!

Small The Body Shop Haul

I bought three small things in The Body Shop some days ago:

I bought the Banana Shampoo, the Chocomania Body Butter and the Chocomania Lip Butter. All together I paid 20 €! (The Body Butter was 10 € because of discount.)

 - The Body Butter is supposed to hydrate the skin for 48 hours while smelling like delicious chocolate. I don’t like the smell, it’s too musky and bitter. And I can’t say it really hydrates for a whole 48 hours, so I’m not that impressed.

- The Lip Butter smells pretty chocolaty, very nice and sweet but you can’t use too much of it or your lips will have a pale layer of lip butter on them, which is not a good look. Still it does it's job and  is good for dry lips!

- The Banana Shampoo is the best thing I ever tried though. It smells heavenly like fresh bananas and the hydrating effect it has on my hair is just AMAZING. My hair looks so different when I use it, so silky and straight and shiny! Will buy again forever and ever (it was about 6 € though haha). Only downside is that the banana smell doesn’t last long! Still, my personal holy grail when it comes to shampoo.

Review: LAQA & CO Nail Polish Pen

I ordered this Laqa & Co Nail Polish Pen from Asos.com for 9,74 €, a discount from the original 14,28 €. The idea of having a pen in my purse that I can apply nail polish with seemed very practical to me, and the colors were also very pretty.

I got tweedledee, which is not pictured there!

The packaging is super cute! To apply the nail polish you just have to press the button for it to pump the polish into the brush at the top! Sounds pretty simple right?

It was not so easy because the right dosage is so difficult to estimate. Usually when I press the button way too much nail polish comes out an I have difficulties painting my nails evenly… And the color although cute (I like pale corals) is only really pretty after the second layer. It drys pretty fast though, so that’s a plus!

So it is practical and cute but the quality of the nail polish itself is not that great. A fun gimmick but won’t buy again!

Review: PocketBac Antibacterial Hand Gel

When eating outdoors there’s usually the trouble of finding a place to quickly wash hands, even when just eating something from the bakery you still don’t want those germs. Well antibacterial hand gels have been around for quite some time but I never imagined someday having something like this:

These cute three PocketBacs are super small, only 29 ml, they usually are very inexpensive but I had to pay 3 $ for each on ebay, and shipping, too, cause they only have it in the US. But they smell so so good so that my hands don’t have to smell like some cleaning detergent or anything like that. 

I have Vanilla Berry Sorbet, Bat Bite Apple and Fresh Picked Strawberries! I love all three sents because they smell exactly like they are supposed to. The fresh picked strawberries smell like strawberries and grass haha

The thing I love most is that you only need very little because their antibacterial effect ispretty strong. And they are so cute because they are so small :3

Dry Shampoo Review and Comparison

My latest fascination has been Dry Shampoo. It helps to refresh my hair on the second day, helps me give it more volume and remove the greasiness if I put too much conditioner and so on! Basically the usage is the same as using a hairspray, you just have to watch out for the gray layer you can get from the dry shampoo and brush it out! I tried different ones and will tell my opinion on them: (those are the ones you can get in Germany at least)

1. Balea Trend it up Dry Shampoo, costs 2,45 € in DM, 200 ml. I like it a lot, the smell is pretty fresh and the gray layer isn’t overly strong with this one. My hair feels most refreshed when using this one!

2. + 3. Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush/ Tropical, cost about 3,80 € on Asos, both 200 ml. I love the scent from the Tropical, has a coconut aroma to it! The scent from the Blush is pretty generic, flowery. They are both ok and the gray layer is ok here, you can brush it out easily.

4. Schauma Cotton Fresh Dry Shampoo, costs about 2,50 € in both Müller and DM. I hate this one. It smells like toilet cleaner, so artificial and disgusting. My hair is sooo gray after using this and it’s super hard to brush it out! Don’t buy this one.

And now my favourites:

Those two are great.

The small one is the Lee Stafford Dry Shampoo, it’s pretty expensive for just 50 ml, costs 3,45 €. But it’s great because of the travel size, the smell is nice and it has practically no gray layer to it! Always in my purse!

And the second one is Batiste Dry Shampoo Medium & Brunette, it’s more expensive. too, about 5 € on Asos. It has a hint of color and though it’s a bit lighter than my dark brown hair color it’s a lot nicer to have layers of medium brown in my hair than having a gray layer. The smell is also nice.

[EDIT]: this Dry Shampoo actually leaves real color in my hair, which means, when washing my hair afterwards it is as if I had used semi-permanent hair color and now am washing out the traces of it, leaves brown stains everywhere in the bath room. I don't know WHY I didn't expect this, anyways this is a product I won't buy again.

None of them are outstanding in giving lots of volume though I think. I still love it, it’s way too practical to not use!
